Grimmer Mines Data for Concepts Using Computer-Aided Clustering

Visiting Fellow Justin Grimmer presented a computer-assisted approach for discovering useful conceptualizations by clustering data objects, and demonstrated how the method could be used to identify themes and styles in senators' public communications.

Brunnermeier Outlines Feedback Loop That Amplifies Financial Shocks

Careful study of bubbles, mispricings, and financial crises has led Markus Brunnermeier and Princeton colleague Yuliy Sannikov to a new theory of money, which Brunnermeier presented at workshop during his stay as a Visiting Fellow in October.
