Jaap Abbring’s current research interests include topics in econometrics, notably duration analysis, and the empirical analysis of firm and industry dynamics, imperfect information in insurance markets, and labor markets. He is Professor and Center Fellow at Tilburg University and is a co-editor of the Econometrics Journal, an editorial board member of the Review of Economic Studies, and an associate editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics and of Quantitative Economics. He received undergraduate and master’s degrees in econometrics from VU University Amsterdam and his PhD in economics from Tinbergen Institute/ University of Amsterdam.
