Assistant Professor, Stanford University

Justin Grimmer's research research interests include American political institutions and Congressional elections. He focuses on developing and applying new statistical models for political texts. His recently completed book employs a new statistical model for political texts to demonstrate that how legislators relate to constituents has wide ranging consequences for representation.

Grimmer is an assistant professor in Stanford's Department of Political Science. Before arriving in Stanford, he received his PhD from Harvard's Department of Government.
