An expert in equilibrium search models, Jean-Marc Robin’s research has focused on microeconometrics, labor economics, and consumption. His current research interests include the empirical analysis of labor markets with heterogeneous workers and firms, subject to informational frictions and productivity shocks. At the annual conference of the Royal Economic Society (2010) he lectured on the dynamics of employment and wage distributions.
He is a co-editor of Econometrica and past co-editor of Econometrics Journal. He was awarded the Frisch Medal in 2006 for a paper published in Econometrica co-authored with Fabien Postel-Vinay.
Robin received a master’s degree from the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE), an MPhil from Université Paris I Panthéon- Sorbonne, and a PhD in economics from Université Paris I.
