Jonathan Vogel

Jonathan Vogel’s research has focused on the development of theoretical models for international trade. He has also studied the relationships between wage inequality, technology, and trade.

Before joining the Columbia University faculty in 2008, he taught at UCLA. He is currently a Senior Scholar at the Jerome A. Chazen Institute of International Business and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER. In 2012, he was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and an Excellence in Refereeing Award from the American Economic Review. He has published in the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of International Economics, and the Review of Economic Studies.

He received his PhD from Princeton and his BA from Columbia University.
