Sally Sadoff is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago. She received a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago in August 2010 and a BA in economics from Harvard University in 2000. Her research focuses on field experiments in education and development. She is currently conducting research on closing educational achievement gaps through early childhood interventions, teacher-merit pay, and performance-based incentives for students and parents. She also is conducting research on financial decision making in poor households, including the use of information and incentives in cell phone banking and the effect of financial education on consumption and savings.
