Ralph Koijen

Ralph S. J. Koijen conducts research on asset pricing, decentralized and delegated investment management, real estate finance, household finance, and financial econometrics. His published research includes “On the Timing and Pricing of Dividends,” which appeared in the American Economic Review,  “Optimal Decentralized Investment Management” and “Predictive Regressions: A Present-Value Approach,” which appeared in the Journal of Finance, and "Mortgage Timing," which appeared in the Journal of Financial Economics.

Koijen joined the Chicago Booth faculty in 2008. He previously has taught undergraduate, graduate, and MBA-level courses at the New York University Stern School of Business and Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

Koijen earned a master's degree in financial econometrics and a PhD in finance from Tilburg University. He also spent time as a visiting graduate student at Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and has been a visiting assistant professor at the NYU Stern School of Business.
