Human Capital and Economic Opportunity: A Global Working Group

Jaime Ahlberg

University of Florida
Assistant Professor of Philosophy

I received my PhD in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin in 2010. My dissertation was an exploration of the interaction between ideal theory (typified by Rawls's justice as fairness) and nonideal theory (which attempts to theorize justice in the world as it is). I am now an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Florida. My areas of specialization include ethics and political philosophy, and my areas of concentration include the philosophy of education, bioethics, and feminist philosophy.
