Aloiso Araujo is a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Economic Association, 2012 Elected President of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory, 2011 Foreign Associate of The National Academy of Sciences - USA , 2006 Fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences, 2003 Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, 2003 Member of the Executive Committee of the International Economic Association, 1989 Fellow of the Guggenheim Foundation, 1988 Fellow of the Econometric Society, 1987 Member of the Council of the Econometric Society, 1985 Member of the Brazilian Academy of Science.
He has published several papers in Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Economic Theory, Journal of International Economics, RAND Journal of Economics, among others.
