Gabriella Conti is a Research Associate (Assistant Professor) at the Irving B. Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago; Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research; Research Affiliate of the Population Research Center, University of Chicago; a research fellow at the School of Social and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bristol; a visiting scientist in the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease Division, Faculty of Medicine, at Southampton General Hospital, University of Southampton; and a research associate at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER), University of Essex.

Her research draws on biology, genetics, and epidemiology, as well as neuroscience, medical economics, and the economics of human development. She is developing an integrated developmental approach to health from before conception, and modeling the economic, social, and biological mechanisms that produce health inequalities over the life-course and across generations.
