Philip Corr is Professor and Head of Psychology at the University of East Anglia, UK, where he leads the Differential Psychology Research Group. Previously (2004-2009), he was Professor of Psychology at Swansea University, UK. Philip has published over 80 scientific papers, largely dealing with the biological basis of personality and its relevance for understanding emotion, motivation and clinical disorders. Philip is also the author of 'Understanding Biological Psychology' (2006; Oxford: Blackwell); the single editor of 'The Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory of Personality' (2008; Cambridge University Press); and the joint editor (with Gerald Matthews) of 'The Cambridge Handbook of Personality Psychology' (2009; Cambridge University Press). His recent work has included the interface of personality and economics, including the coediting of a special issue on this topic for the journal 'Personality and Individual Differences' - in this special issue, along with Professors James Heckman (Chicago University) and Eamonn Ferguson (University of Nottingham), Philip has advanced a general theoretical approach to personality and economics aimed at defining the agenda for future theoretical and empirical research.
