Marc Fleurbaey

Marc Fleurbaey's research has focused on the elaboration of social criteria for the evaluation of public policies, incorporating principles of fairness. He has been a professor of economics at the Universities of Cergy-Pontoise and Pau, then a research director at CNRS, and as of 2011 will be a professor at Princeton University. He has been a fellow and visiting professor at the LSE, and held visiting positions in Oxford, Davis, CORE, and Hitotsubashi. He is a former editor of Economics and Philosophy and a managing editor of Social Choice and Welfare.
