Sanjeev Goyal, Profesor of Economics at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge, was educated at the University of Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedebad) in India, and at Cornell University in the United States. He has previously held Professorial appointments at the Econometric Institute, Erasmus University, the University of London and the University of Essex. Sanjeev's area of research is microeconomics. He is a pioneer in the economic study of networks and his work has appeared in leading international journals such as Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, and the Review of Economic Studies. His book, Connections: an introduction to the economics of networks, was published by Princeton University Press in 2007. A Chinese translation appeared in 2010.
