Matthew Johnson is a Researcher at Mathematica Policy Research. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 2010. In his dissertation Matthew examined how borrowing constraints affect student decisions about college entry and completion. Since joining Mathematica he has worked extensively developing and implementing value added models to measure school and teacher effectiveness at increasing student achievement.
