Friedhelm Pfeiffer

Friedhelm Pfeiffer studied economics at the universities of Freiburg, Bern and Mannheim. He is vice head of the research department "Labour Markets, Human Resources and Social Policy" at ZEW Mannheim and coordinates the research area "Educational Economics". Since 2002, he is a lecturer at the University of Mannheim, Department of Economics. Since 2009, Friedhelm Pfeiffer is a member of the section "Economics of Education" of the German Economic Association. In his research, Friedhelm Pfeiffer examines human capital formation over the life cycle and the effectiveness of education policies. In one of his recent projects he analysed the quality of mother-child interaction during infancy and the formation of competencies.
